Barry B. Scherr is a commercial real estate developer and investor, author, and speaker on human potential, as well as the redefinition of community and the built environment.  He is the creator of an exciting new asset class: the Arcetri Italian Lifestyle Piazza. Mr. Scherr is the Co-Founder of the SundarCorporation, a national commercial real estate sale-leaseback company. He was an early pioneer in sale–leaseback deals for the nationwide rollout of big box retail.   

As president of Sundar Corporation, he developed a fast-track, multi-property approach to sale-leaseback transactions that established many of the standard practices used today. For the last 25 years, he has extensively studied how changing lifestyles and culture are transforming how we live and what we build. In early 2020 Mr. Scherr created a new asset class: the ArcetriItalian Lifestyle Piazza concept, which he is now rolling-out around the United States. This new asset class will create a completely re-imagined central piazza for every locale that will revolutionize the way people meet, live, shop and play.

Mr. Scherr splits his time between the United States and Italy. He is a hobby producer of olive oil and organic vegetables.
